About the Gladiators
For a decade now, the Gulf Coast Gladiators have proudly represented Mobile in the American Basketball Association (ABA) since their establishment in February 2013. Over this span, the team has not only become a fixture in professional basketball but is also implementing significant changes geared towards making a positive impact on the lives of young men, children, and the broader community. Rapidly establishing themselves as a force in the ABA, the Gladiators remain steadfast in their commitment to delivering affordable and enjoyable family entertainment, showcasing top-tier professional talent to the Mobile Gulf Coast region.
Competing in the fiercely challenging South Region, the Gladiators engage formidable adversaries spanning Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and Texas. Beyond their basketball prowess, the Gladiators boast an impressive array of achievements, securing Alabama, Georgia, and Florida Division Titles, Southeast Region Championships, and a coveted Final Four appearance. Over the past nine years, the team has forged an illustrious path, with seven ABA Championships appearances and a standout Final Four in 2017. Notably, the Gladiators secured three consecutive Gulf Coast Division Championships (2016-2018) and back-to-back Florida and Georgia Division Championships in 2017 and 2018, highlighting their unwavering excellence. Their consistent success underscores the team’s prowess and enduring competitiveness.
Off the court, the Gladiators proactively involve themselves in the community, catalyzing positive change through collaborative ventures with corporate, non-profit, and community-based organizations. Their mission goes beyond the game, reaching out to support families, neighbors, and children in need, showcasing an unwavering commitment to social impact. With eight playoff appearances and seven visits to the Championship round, the Gladiators transcend the boundaries of sports.
