Gladiators Salute Overseer Gary Johnson: A Champion of Faith, Leadership, and Community Impact
The Gulf Coast Gladiators proudly acknowledge and honor Overseer Gary Johnson for his unwavering dedication to faith, leadership, and community service. A native of Mount Vernon, Alabama, and a long-standing resident of Mobile, Overseer Johnson has spent his life empowering others and building strong, resilient communities.
From his early education at Belsaw Elementary/Middle School and Citronelle High School to his Paralegal Studies at Virginia College at Mobile—where he served as the school’s first Student Government President—Overseer Johnson has always demonstrated vision, integrity, and a heart for service. His entrepreneurial endeavors include founding Transit Xpress Logistics, LLC, The Buzz Report, and Gospel Sounds Radio Network, all contributing to local economic growth.
In 2015, he began pastoring Miracle Temple AOH Church in Biloxi, MS, and now leads Tabernacle of Grace Apostolic Church in Eight Mile, AL. In 2024, his spiritual leadership was recognized with his elevation to Overseer in the Lord Church. He also serves as Chairman of the Alabama Democratic Alliance and Founder of The Voices of Gospel Music Awards, both platforms amplifying community voices.
